Audio for under $150 - Page 2

Gaming with M50s for the lol. I don't need perfect sound to kill people. Skills are needed and I got them (when I'm not on some stuff that hurts my brain..).

I couldn't afford 2 pair of headphones and I listen to music 100% of the time so I went with the M50s and called it a day. The real gamers will prefer ATH-AD700 / HD555 but good luck trying to use them for music (especially dubstep, like me).

My 10$ Xonar DG does the job in BC2. I hear them coming, not that much since it's so loud and I'm rushing (Here goes the BOOM).

Are you trying to imply that music isn't enjoyable on the HD555s or the AD700s? And are you trying to imply that soundstage isn't an important factor is music listening? The M50s have much better bass, so for dubstep/hiphop/techno they're probably better, but I'd take Sennheisers over them for my rock/classical/acoustic any day. No one said you can't game successfully with the M50s, but you're denying yourself an advantage.

I am an owner of said D1 as referenced by ralleymaster, I was playing BC2 and I could not hear where things were coming from. Everything just sounded as if i was listening to music and was hitting my eardrums at the same time from everywhere, there was no positioning at all from footsteps to gunshots, if OP wants to play BC2 then I in agreement with RalleyMaster advise against the D1
