A tower like CPU Cooler, with max 120mm height?

Thread Starter
Hello

Can anyone recommend me a tower (side blowing) cpu cooler, that fits into H=120mm space?
I know, there are some low profile coolers, but these are blowing downwards (horizontal MB in HTPC), and therefore the airflow would not be optimal...

I saw the noctua NH-U9B, but its a bit too high, with 125mmm

Maybe something with 8cm fans? (i have two 8cm fans behind it blowing out, on the case backplate too, so it would be enough airflow in that direction)

Going on an i7 2600.

Thanks.

It uses 120mm fans. That doesn't mean it's 120mm tall.

Arctic Cooling's freezer 13 pro?
The 92mm fan version, not the 120.

I'm curious about this as well because I'm just about in OP's situation.

I found the Cm Hyper 101 to be 117.5mm. However, i am not really sure, if its enough for an i7. Where the stock cooler is even smaller, so.... i dont know.

They say for "over 95W TDP"...

Depends on what kind of OC's you plan on using. For mild-medium oc's (4.1-4.8) i'd say that CM Hyper is fine.

Stock cooler FTW... you can even do a small OC with it.

No OC (yet), it just has to be quiet
