Aftermarket cooling for GTX 570 HD

Thread Starter
Does anyone know of any aftermarket coolers that fit the EVGA GTX 570 HD version? I'm aware that the dimensions of the HD versions are different than that of the non-HD reference card so I'd like to confirm if there's any aftermarket coolers that fit it.

Someone told me the Thermalright Shaman or the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus II might fit but still waiting on a confirmation for either.

Planning on running two 570's in SLI later on after I get the upcoming Bulldozer chip whenever AMD releases it. (Upgrading from a 1090T)

I was thinking of stepping up from my gtx 560 ti to this card and spent some time looking for a similar solution. Unfortunately, the dimensions of the card are not the problem, it's the added dvi port, which, by looking at pictures of the card, is most likely going to get in the way of the heat pipes of most of the aftermarket coolers. I've seen a thread where a guy got the Accelero Extreme Plus to fit, but only after cutting out a big chunk of metal on it. Maybe they changed it with the new Plus II version, but somehow I doubt it...

there are always universal water blocks.... in terms of air coolers, the cooler for the older 470 will work iirc... you just have to mod the heatsink for the volt regs, and ram modules

I have the same card and want to put another cooler on it too but I haven't been able to find anything that's guaranteed to fit. The following 2 coolers both have shortened heatpipes on the side where our extra DVI is so they MIGHT fit.

Yeah I heard the same things. I'll probably just hold out for a while then, since the card can handle pretty high temps anyway. I'm more worried about 570 SLI (planning on SLI-ing my current EVGA GTX 570 HD Superclocked OC'd to 850/1700/2000 with a future EVGA GTX 570 Classified and OC that to 900+). The Classified uses the vapor chamber cooler so it should be significantly cooler than my HD SC. Either way they're going on slots 1 and 3 anyway, so I think I should be fine, it's the triple monitor display I'll be worried about since I've heard the 570 rises in temps on multi-display even without load.

Hole spacing around the gpu is the same so any cooler that will fit a standard GTX570 will fit. You just need to do something about the vrms and memory.

I'm really debating picking up the twin turbo 2 for my GTX 570 HD. Its not listed as compatible but I know sometimes they are, like the twin turbo pro is no compatible with the 6950 but it works perfect on it. But it looks like the turbo 2 in not yet for sale in the USA...
