BF3 Hardware

Thread Starter
Know BF3 isn't out yet but still open to hypotheses/opinions.

Want to get an idea of how well my PC would run BF3 (ideally 1080p @ max settings @ constant 80+ fps, or 720p if absolutely necessary).

Built my PC almost exactly a year ago, runs BFBC2, Crysis, Crysis 2 100+ fps @720p, 60+ fps @ 1080p. Below are my specs, how will it do, will it meet what I'd like above and if not, what areas do I need to upgrade?

Intel Core i7-930 @ 3.8GHz w/ TRUE
Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD 5850 (2GB)
Asus P6T mobo
Asus Xonar DX Sound Card
OCZ Gold 6GB 8-8-8-24
Corsair HX850W PSU
Antec 902 Case

What my first thought would be is to add another video card and Xfire them. Then upgrade to 12GB of ram

Thoughts?

Max settings and 80+FPS, no. Your RAM seems fine but since BF3 needs 2GB I believe, 6 or 8GB is fine. the 5850 will will probably need replaced or put into Crossfire. Nothing really needs upgrading besides your GPU, just get another one.
