Sure, sometimes new games on Steam are cheaper than retail but generally speaking new releases are the same price, regardless of retail or digital.
It's just sheer laziness that they can't be bothered walking or driving to a store to get it.
And if you mean to tell me you would rather not buy a game you want because its not on Steam than to just get a freakin hard copy, they you sir are an idiot (Not directed at you Jordan44, just a general statement)
Wow, the ignorance is staggering.
How on earth can you accuse people of wanting games on steam to be lazy?
Its not lazy to make sure you never lose a cd key.
Its not lazy to not want to have to store cd images or scratch and break or lose discs.
Its not lazy to want an easy way of installing games to a particular drive or partition, with the benefit of having steam deal with all the files and subsequently no requirement of a re-installation of games with a re-installation of windows.
Its not lazy to want an easy, all in one place social integration hub, with a single games tracker for achievements, play time etc. with the addition of easily joining other peoples games servers and chat in game.
Its not lazy to want one place to find your game files and for a large amount of games game saves. Especially with the steam cloud.
Its not lazy to want your games collection wherever you go, whatever pc you are on.
These are some of the reasons why you are actually the idiot here, not the people using digital distribution over hard copy. I am one of the people seriously considering not getting this game because I like to have my games on steam, and if that means not playing this then so be it, I have 138 other games that I can play whenever, wherever I want or install a few more I haven't played yet assuming I can actually find the serials and discs for them in this massive stack of games and serials I have here somewhere, oh wait im using steam so that's not a problem...
I have no problem with people who prefer hard copies over digital and theres a clear benefit for some in having one or the other and thats fine everyone is built differently, But DO NOT insult those of us who prefer digital distribution with a totally unsupported claim of being lazy.
