As for the gpu I'd say 460 for nvidia and a 6870 or go for a: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102946
5830. A lot less money and a very good card. Maxes bfbc2.

Also the 5670 would be closer to a 6770. Not that there is much difference between the two. The 6 series cards go from 66 to 69 instead of the 5 series 55 to 58. I do not know if there were many cards under a 66xx or a 55xx, there may be.

Thanks to all for the help, i've decided i'll go ahead and upgrade the psu to allow for a card more powerful than the 6670.

i figure that if i'm going to upgrade, might as well make it a worthwhile upgrade.

also, on a side note, what type of payment methods to newegg and such sites offer?

That's not true.

The 5670 performs like a 9800GT.
The 6770 is the same as the 5770, which performs closer to a 4870.

Your crossing brands now. Your also using the transitive property to prove a point, which just doesn't work. Are you saying because of the gap between the 4870 and the 9800gt these cards are not alike?

Also I am glad you chose to upgrade, you may end up wanting to do a lot more if you stick around here though. I think I forgot to say welcome. So welcome.

The 9800GT and 4870 are most certainly not alike.

The 4870 performs on par with the GTX260 216
