Should of played AC 2 first I think. You can really miss out AC 1 as that is easily readable to grasp the story, but since AC 2 sets the scene of Ezio I would say that it is important to play that one. The ending in AC Brotherhood still has yet to be explained properly. Alot of people have tried to peice the puzzle together but no one can really explain what this game is going to throw at them next. The story, the puzzles and the cliffhangers are really well done in this game. Also if you were confused at the ending of brotherhood then you should check out the ending of this DLC for it:

I got into AC when there was a sale on steam a few month ago. I loved the gameplay of AC1, it was a little repetative but I really liked the story, plus killing dudes was kick ass. I picked out AC2 a day after i beat AC1 and was blown away by how much better the game was. I had a lot of fun with that one, i think i got liike 98% sync. then i picked up AC:B. that was similar to AC2 but it was really cool. I think for me, The AC series saved the Action Adventure genree, again for me! I like the heave story and the great continuity. The historic undertones are also great. But seriously, you gotta get AC2, that game is great. But please, don't play any of the mobile versions, they suck so bad.
I used a 360 controller, It felt a little better for me than KB+M.

actually i have heard of the series before i never really check the game out. but when someone was selling it cheap, i just bought it..

and i was amazed !! this year's action rpg games are abit disappointing, dragon age 2 etc etc. i bought witcher 2 and it dint take long for me to complete the game. i dont like to play 2nd walkthrough since i already known the storyline although the graphics are out of this world

assassins creed reminds me of Prince of Persia though. jumping around on the rooftops, hanging on poles etc

i heard ac1 wasnt dat good so i wasnt planning of getting it. im getting ac2 soon though.

the game although repetitive but its fun. yeah we have to kill the captains, and then invest in shops etc etc but it does open up new storylines.

so we can use any 360 controller on pc?

I'm currently playing AC II right now. I played it for the first time when it was released on XBOX 360 and beat it. I thought the game was amazing then. I recently purchased AC: Brotherhood on PC but wanted to replay AC: II to remember the whole story. I'm using a wired XBOX 360 controller with no problems. Works like a charm.
