Need suggestion on new psu for gtx 460 1gb

Thread Starter
I recently upgraded my crap comp witha new gpu gtx 460 1gb and my comp had a 600w da diablotek. My comp has been shutting of repeatedly during game sessions. When i check my percison it said my gpu was WAY below hot when it shut off and was running normal then i checked memory and so forth. Then i decided to read up on my psu and realized i was better off using a potatoe for a power supply. So to my point i am looking for a good psu for my card around $100 that will actually put out the wattage it says it will.

Thank you all in advance for you help

These old TX series psu's are made by CWT,
Better he goes with TX v2 series which are more efficient & are made by Seasonic.

i agree with aniket, go with a seasonic made psu, amazing never had a problem, been through 2 recent power surges due to a transformer being hit by lightning no damage at all, might have to do with power bar but still awesome psu's if you can spend a little extra

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151095

currently running it amazing

I thought they are not making the old ones anymore, so I didn't mention that!!

Don't understand why everyone is recommending a 600w+ unless he plans on running SLI.

A quality 400w PSU would do the trick.

Could you fill in your system spec so we know what your running.

EDIT:
These are my recommendations:

XFX Core Edition PRO 450W $55

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 $52 but $32 after MIR

Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-520 520W $55 with a further 10% discount available.

I would go for the corsair
