Their shipping was never priced well, even inside the US. I went with them because it was $2 per fan less and I was ordering six at once. Also, nobody else had six fans in stock. Details, details.
These fans are not LED mod friendly at all. If you look closely
, you'll see that the LEDs are soldered under the fan blade, which is very inconvenient if you want to make a switch. If you were to look closlier you would see that they are soldered to the back of the PCB under the blades; even more of a pain. You would also see why I need to clean my machine every two weeks... minimum.
Those pictures are a horrible representation of the fans. They're not as bright as those pics would have you believe. The glow is less harsh and more... menacing. The brighter lines of light from the LEDs also change color; going from white at the outer edge to a strong yellow/green at the center. The point where they change noticeably changes with the viewing angle. Pretty sweet.
ETA: The one place they stand-out from the crowd is noise. That and their color are what made me choose them over other fans. I have six running full-tilt through 600mm of radiator and the case open, and ten feet away (distance to head) I can sleep peacefully. Take into account I am a very light sleeper. Someone two rooms over sneezes and I'm wide awake
If your circumstances are any different, almost any fan will do.Edited by MKHunt - 8/18/11 at 8:41pm
