Cameras are awesome wubsmiley.gif

Interested in seeing what you have planned with that fan controller. Knowing you, it's going to be interesting and fantastic wheee.gif

The fan controller is going to be designed by Shnur smile.gif Will take 4 fans and also have a 5th connector to supply a constant 12v for my pump. Removes the need for a molex power cable just for the pump. We're also planning to try and use the same connector for powering the unit as the CPU power cable. Black PCB, hopefully printed with the help of the electronics God himself, Janik/aka Xien16

I too am intrigued about the fan controller. thumb.gif

How long do you shoot each day though to last 3 hours? I used my camera for a full day photographing a wedding 2 weeks ago and have used it for at least an hour every day since then without recharging. I don't own a battery grip yet.

argh uni....

The build is looking great! Time to resubscribe here =D

Uni... tell me about it. Last week I made the choice to take a break from my studies for personal reasons. I've taken on more hours at work which means more money and consequently, means I can afford to finish this build with style. wink.gif

BTW if you were still looking for GELID fans I found a great price on them, not sure what shipping is to you tho.

cool.gifthumb.gif Black and green is definitely a sweet combo! Got a build log up for your system yet? Thanks for the link for those fans too! Will have to check it out and decide whether I want to stick with my current fans or not!

Here's a tiny update. Those blue heatsinks aren't looking so blue anymore wink.gif

Big news too... I've retired the copper tubing idea to being a backup plan. Placed an order with Nils for a crimping tool, extra crimps and lots of heatshrink. Time to make my own cables and really start to pull the snake theme back into the build wink.gif

I meant 3 full days of shooting. tongue.gif I would run out of storage space before I ran out of batteries. wink.gif

I also have 1 spare battery that I take with me on trips (the battery grip works with just one battery as well) and there's a cartridge of sorts that will hold 6 AA batteries that I can use in a pinch. However, that would be like weeks with no electricity.

Ahh well it's all thanks to this build really. Always been interested in photography and have always had relatively good cameras over the years, but this build has really motivated me to get into it a LOT more. If I don't return to graphic design next year, I plan to return and take the Professional Photography course in 2013.

Ahaha fair enough! I never thought I would run out of space on a 16GB card but blimey... it doesn't take long these days! I used my sisters 5D for the wedding and so had to use her 8GB CF card *cry* Had to copy photos off twice that day just so I could keep shooting!

biggrin.gif You bet!! wheee.gif

I've been re-thinking the reservoir too over the last few days. I am itching to use dye again (going to give Mayhem's a shot) but the effect just doesn't work with the helices in the res. Kinda wanting to take the helices out and reaaaally get my green on. Thoughts?
