If the green tubing you have isn't UV reactive already, then a dye you can add would work well as you can put in only enough to get the effect you want without impacting the reservoir look too much. If those tubes are UV, I probably wouldn't bother with dye. smile.gif

Keep helix, replace with UV green tubing inside, UV LEDs embedded in endcaps with sanded plexi to disperse. Problem solved?

I'm not really after UV this time around. I've found that although these tubes are really beautiful, they don't have the same clear and sharp look that my old green fluid had. I'm still undecided though!

Dunno haha. As I said, I'm still undecided!!

Now as you could all probably guess, I've been sucked into Skyrim!! wheee.gif And while my system runs it pretty nice on high, it starts to struggle with larger textures. In the new year I'm going to keep an eye out for a new video card.

Anyways, an awesome package arrived for me not too long ago!

viper-3670.jpg

viper-3675.jpg

viper-3673.jpg

Need to buy some wire now (no idea where from!!) but will have to hold off for a bit as I'm about to buy my first car! So that means I'm mostly broke. I also need to save for either camera repairs or a new camera too frown.gif Check this out

sensor-3646.jpg

Absolutely gutted. Took it in for repair the other day and both the guys in the shop didn't listen/believe me so didn't note it down to be fixed. I did get a sensor clean though biggrin.gif This is how it used to be...

sensor-3616.jpg

Was worth it just to get rid of all that dust biggrin.gif But I'm still REALLY unhappy about that dark ring. Doesn't matter what lens I use or if I use a lens hood or not, it shows up. But only if there is sky in my pictures. If it can't be fixed, I'll start saving for a new camera but I won't go second hand again. Not after having 2 cameras fault after six months or so!! Brand new, full frame is what I'll be going for.

Back to the build anyway! In the moments that I can peel myself away from Skyrim, I've been devising a plan to hide the purple paint on my capacitors. Bought some carbon fibre vinyl a while back and thought I could use that. But how?? How will I get perfectly cut, small circles? Then I saw the hole punch at work and it all made sense biggrin.gif

viper-3682.jpg

By jove they fit perfectly!

viper-3688.jpg

And YES I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE NEW END CAP!!!!!!! I just don't care about that freaking kink anymore. Sumo says that if you are bothered by the kink, then...

sumochallenge.jpg

Lol.

I also made a vain attempt to cover the front of the case in the vinyl because I was fed up with an ugly silver mesh front. Looks naff, but it did give me a great idea!

viper-3683.jpg

Something like this!

CM6902plan2.jpg

Will get it made for me when I get some spare money. Sanded acrylic behind it with some green LED's. I asked Luke to buy me acrylic for Christmas so hopefully he obliges biggrin.gif

And to finish, meet Possum! The neighbourhood stray kitten that I've started looking after smile.gif She's also the only thing asides from food that can tear me away from Skyrim!

Just curious, do you take all your pictures outside in the daylight? They look really nice and the focus is always dead on.
(sharp camera by the way) Started my build and I'm using a Fujifilm S2950 and they arent turning out bad but most are inside shots. loving the Vinyl idea, keep us updated. biggrin.gifthumb.gif

Some of them I do but the most recent photos were all taken in my bedroom with the curtains open. You can take great looking photos with any camera if you get the lighting right. I've even got cellphone pictures that have turned out really beautiful just from having good lighting.
