Running windows 7 along with ESX server

Hey all

So, I've got an interesting one for someone out there. I'm looking to install ESXi on my rig at home. However, I don't believe I can install it along with windows 7 on a seperate partition since you use ESX as a base install and then boot your additional operating systems off this boot loader.

So basically this is what i'm trying to do

ESXi server - 3 windows 2008 servers running a domain controller, Exchange 2008 and SQL 2005 server, I'll be loading and quering a 35gb database using an additional bespoke application running on the SQL server.

Then windows 7 for gaming, video rendering and general use.

Now, the other thing is, I can't have ESXi running when I boot into windows 7 since it'll rip my performance apart. I.E i'll get 5 FPS if i'm lucky.

Anyone got any advice?

Thanks

Comps
