[In] Playstation 4 To Utilize Kinect - Page 10

What are you calling realistic? Sitting in front of your tv, with your hands in the air, moving them around to "drive a car". I'm certain lots of little kids will get some enjoyment out of playing make-believe...

Realism for a racing game/sim comes from the feedback from the wheel. Feeling the resistance of the car as it makes hairpin turns. How are you going to get that from the Kinect? What is special at all about using the Kinnect? I can walk up to something that isn't there, not touch it, not sit in it, and then wave my hands around on a wheel that isn't there... Jeez, you know what? That sounds fantastic...

A "simulator" that goes "Engine Upgrade 1... Engine Upgrade 2... Engine Upgrade 3..." ???

A sim that lets you drive inside the car... For less than 1/5th of the vehicles?

A simulator that has PS2 graphics for most of the cars, and the tracks look completely lifeless and devoid of realistic background on the track?

C'mon now... This PS fanboy stuff is getting crazy.......
thats why we have these. gt5 is best played with a wheel.

I don't know why anyone would get excited about this. Apple is just going to sue both of them since they invented Kinect.

Who said anything about GT5, when it comes to calling a game a simulator when it is clearly not both Forza and GT are guilty. Both of them are good games and I am thinking of getting an Xbox just for Forza, and if you want to talk about unrealism with upgrading, watch this.
EDIT: Lets not forget the simulators that the police use to see how fast a car was going when it crashed. they are basiclly empty boxes with lines in them. I can't remember the name of it so I can't find a video of the simulator but I have seen it in real life.

It just goes to show how overpriced and slow the Bugatti Veyron is.

Except.

ME3's inclusion of the order system via Kinect is basically what we've been able to do as quickly on PC for...many years now.

Ghost Recon's weapon smith is a minor feature if you think about it.

The mainstream hardcore games that get Kinect features added on...well

1) It just seems like another bullet point on the back of the box.
2) They're not "must-buy" features; I'm not going to go out and pick up ME3 on Xbox just for a Kinect feature - tbh, barely anybody will.
3) Stuff like ME3's features and even GR's can be done just as fast, if not faster with the good ol' mouse.

I don't think these games have the ability to shift Kinect in significant numbers. I can't imagine people forking out $100-150 or w/e it is in USA for the ability to order their companions around in ME3.

EDIT: Oh and by the way.

You can get a decent wheel for the price of Kinect, and that will demolish invisible air wheels in terms of realism and fun. Unless you drive your car without a wheel that is...
