Never heard of them.

If you're going to replace it, pick a PSU off this list. (Cheapest one you can find off that list).

Without knowing your FULL system specs, I'd have to guess and say a good 430w would do fine (or higher)...since you said GTX460.

If the PSU (off the above list) doesn't have enough PCIe 6 pin connectors, just get a molex adapter as linked earlier. Do NOT get a 6 pin to dual 6 pin adapter though. It'll work, but you'll be tryin to pull too much power through one set of wires.

That list is kinda useless in my opinion. I wouldnt say those are the ONLY psu's in existance to buy, but its a good reference to see which brands are good for whatever power you need.

Molex(s) are the white ones, and PCI-e is the black one. Black goes into your video card, white goes into your PSU's plugs.

i think manufacturer is much more important than brand.

a seasonic antec psu is much better than a CWT antec psu

Wrong. CoolerMaster is on that list, but with only ONE model. I would never in a million years suggest a low end CM unit.

It's a good list because it has ALL of the CURRENT PSU's on that list (its always up to date). If a PSU is missing off that list, its either an older good model (can be found by looking up reviews), or its not a good unit.

Seeing as how he's wanting to buy today, he might as well buy a current unit instead of a 2 year old unit.

Yes and no. In your example, CWT can be just as good as Seasonic. I believe (don't quote me on this, could be wrong) the Antec TPQ 1200w is CWT. My point being, we have to look at the specific platform itself. Not just the OEM either.

Absolutely. But they make splitters for that too.

With modern machines though, you'll very very rarely use a molex connector. It was USUALLY used for hard drives and optical drives (back before SATA became standard). On rare occasions was used by graphics cards, and motherboards for additional power (before PCIe 6 pin became standard, and PCIe 2.0 came out). And now we have it being used to supply PCIe power via 6 pin splitters (but we're not using drives off it anymore).

So I doubt you'll ACTUALLY run out of molex connectors on your PSU. Seeing as how its rarely used anymore.

I haven't seen a PSU lately with only 1 PCI-E connector... What PSU is it? Also, if it says 6+2 PCI-E connector that will also work. You simply break away the +2 part of the connector.

yes it might not be the only psu's in existence but they are all known good psu's

all the antec tpq's is an enhance built

an cwt can do a good job and even out punch seasonic
they built the hx750/hx 850 which at the time were slightly better then seasonic's offerings

all manufactures have duds thats why there is no single sure way to say whats a good and whats not
