all manufactures have duds thats why there is no single sure way to say whats a good and whats not
Ahh yes, that's what it was. They made the HX 750 and 850. I knew they made a platform that out did Seasonic, I just had the wrong one.

And that's exactly my point. There may be other units that are good. But they're outdated (so not on the list), or haven't been PROVEN good yet (usually new models that haven't been reviewed). Tator's list, are all guaranteed good units, that's why I like linking that list.

hmmm, if you're looking for a really trustworthy PSU, I recommend a Sea Sonic like this one. The one I posted is modular, which can keep up easily with an extra need of cables without replacing other cables you might need for other hardware

Watts are pretty important, but also look at the Volts, if the Volts (mostly 12V) aren't right, you're system will be a burnt cookie soon ;p. 620W should be fine for a single GPU setup, I've got 650W (which is plenty!) for a 9600gt :') hope i could help

Everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that molex is used for fans also, THATS where they are primarily used today. But i still run an IDE DVD-RW in my machine for compatibility reasons.

Its not volts, all PSU's have volts. Its the amperage that matters, specificaly the 12v amps.

AMPS (on 12v rail) * 12 = watts on 12v rail = GFX card and CPU power.

This is a sign I need to go to bed already (8am, pulled an all nighter). That's another thing I missed!

One thing to note though, is that fans honestly don't pull much power at all. My high speed Delta's only pull 6w each.

Sorry about that, my mistake , it's the amps of course (I can be quite confused some times ) ... but I'm sure it will be fine, never had incompatibilities with those myself.

that I actually confused volts with amps, oh gawd
