EK Multioption Reservoir Advanced Internal tubes

Thread Starter
Hi,

I was just wondering what the internal tubes are for? by default there are 3 tubes attached inside the reservoir. 1 tube at the top and 2 at the bottom (same lengths)

Should I leave them as is with all three tubes inside or would that be bad? What configuration would be best if I had a configuration of bottom inlet and top side outlet?

Also just to squeeze in another related question. When we're talking about the inlet and outlet of a reservoir does inlet mean water from the reservoir going to the pump and outlet is water coming in the reservoir via the last part of the loop?

Sorry for the questions, I'm really new to this.

Thanks!

Outlet to your pump. I think those pipes have something to do with warm and cold mixture in your res. I have older spec with ek multioption with anti cyclone.
Actually just looked it up and looks like it's easier to bleed the air from that spec of res. And i say with experience that the older type res is or can be hard to bleed.

^ alright so the inlet is the water coming from the last component of the loop and the outlet is the water coming from the reservoir to the pump(first component) correct?

Thanks ezygroove!

With regard to the internal acrylic tubes purpose and placement, can anyone help me to solve their mystery? smile.gif

On my spec of res. outlet from the bottom of the res goes to my pump. An inlet on the top i use to fill, and an inlet on the bottom side is coming from last item which is the outlet from my cpu waterblock.

The two at the bottom are for outlet and inlet the way it comes. But you have a few options available.

The multioption res advance comes with internal tubes, 3 are already connected by default:

ex-res-229.jpg

is there any rule with the orientation of these? is it okay to have 3 internal tubes or only 1 for inlet and outlet? etc

You can do 2 in the bottom for inlet and outlet. The shorter tube should be used for the outlet. You can also use the the top for an inlet and you can rotate the insert 90 in the bottom and have 2 inlets from the side and one from the bottom and an outlet on the side. It is a bit confusing, I have three of them.

Hmm... looks like a solid method to finally get rid of that stupid whirlpool crap. I bought that little "vertex killer" accessory and it barely did anything. Had to make my own solution.
