Hyper-V and Gaming Graphics -> AMD-V / RVI : Virtual TLB flush...

Hi all, I hope this Thread is in the good place, as it covers lots of subjects, but i think its more CPU centered. (EDIT:and Intel users could also help, thats why it's not in Amd section)

So i'll try to clearly explain my problem :

- I'm running Windows Server 2008R2, because it's like Seven but with more features that are part of my studies/job.

- One of the features i need is Hyper-V, when the role isnt enabled, everything works fine.

- When it's enabled, i get poor 3D performance, as shown by 3D Mark Vantage : my 6870 goes from around 17000 to about 8000.

So here's what i know/partially understood about the problem :

- Hyper-V installation does "virtualize" some parts of the host OS/Hardware, and the one affecting me seems to be the TLB (Translation lookaside buffer), or more exactly : Virtual TLB flushing.

- Microsoft has done a KB (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/961661/en-us) , and the problem described by many (non-gamers) users seems to be fixed with SP1 on any hardware, and was describing all-round bad perf, but I still encounter bad perf with 3D tasks.

- The problem is that Virtual TLB flushing is a very intensive taks for the system, wich don't happen very often in "normal" Hyper-V usage. But gaming graphic card make this happen a lot (^10?), and that is lowering my 3D perf.

- The problem should be solved by some AMD virtualization technology called RVI (old version was called NPT = SLAT).

- My usage scenario is very uncommon, so its hard to find information : does my 1090T support RVI ? Should RVI completly solve the problem ? ...

Hoping some of you could help me to find this out.
Thx for reading.

Anyone knows about it ? Or about a functionnal GPU passthrough soution, so i could have my virtualization and gaming plateform without having to multi-boot ...
