750a vs 980a- is there a performance difference?

Hi,
I've got one GTX 460 1GB on my Asus M4N75TD 750a SLI motherboard (with AMD X6 1090T OC @ 3.6GHz) and I'm looking to buy a second GTX 460 to increase gaming performance.

However I have two concerns about my mobo-
1) It uses the old 750a chipset rather than 980a
2) In SLI both PCI slots only run at x8 bandwidth
Will either of these things significantly reduce performance?

Many thanks.
PS. I realize that this could be put in motherboard section of the forums, but it is a question about graphics card performance

No. It won't.

^this the difference between x8 and x16 is so negligible its not even noticeable in real world gameing. The only time you would see a real difference is if you were doing ALOT of benchmarking and needed those extra few points.
