Crossfire issues? Or propaganda? - Page 2

I've never owned ATI cards, but from what I've seen and read, back about 2 years ago ATI was having lots of driver issues and people we're complaining. The amount of driver issue threads has gone down a lot though, and I don't see people complaining as much, so I'd say go for it, AMD seems to have picked up the slack thumb.gif

Since you're currently running a GTX 460 1GB, you ought to just throw a 2nd one in and SLI them. Considerably fast. A second GTX 460 1GB at only $160--compared to forking out $475 for two HD 6950s. I was considering upgrading to the HD 6970 2GB, but then I thought, meh, I'll just throw a second GTX 470 in. I'm personally waiting for HD 7-series before any more video card upgrades, though. Previous card was a reference XFX HD 5870, and driver issues were minimal for me. Catalyst drivers seem pretty reliable nowadays, compared to recent years.

I would but I'd like to have more than 1GB of VRAM moving forward. Some games are already going over 1GB (well over in Crysis 2 DX11's case). Plus one of the main reasons I'm upgrading is for Skyrim and I'm sure there's going to be a bunch of VRAM-hogging texture mods down the line smile.gif
