depends if you can pull the tubing off or tip it to drain through the tube or the other hole

If the computer is off and you've properly leak tested, then there is absolutely no reason to worry about leaks.. Outside of natural disasters, kids, or pets, it will not leak when turned off if you've done everything right.. I wouldn't be worried about any bacterial growth either if you've used a biocide.
