Check my sig for a fairly easy to understand OC how to for 400 series cards, it may help it may not but it's worth the look.

Yeah, as lightsout stated, games will always fluctuate in FPS, example on Civ 5 for me, solid 60 FPS (V-Sync -theoretically around 80FPS without), but then it'll drop down to as low as 10 when I move around over large cities with lots going on, and don to 0FPS when the AI has it's turn.

With FPS games, it'll always drop in framerate when big firefights are going on, grenades all exploding, anything like that will put more pressure on your system trying to keep up with it all, and low framerates ensue.

The only way to not noticeably drop during massive things like that, is getting SLI 580's and playing Black Ops or something similar at 1080p, you'll still get FPS drops, you just won't notice them as it'll be in the 300's.

You are missing my point. The point is, it didn't drop before, but now it constantly drops to 40. I am well aware that the fps fluctuates, but it just didn't do it that much BEFORE.

I got the point, and well you have my apologies, I thought I'd add just to be on the safe side, and misjudged.

Question then:
What were you using to measure FPS before you OC'd, what're you using now?

I can't see it being a heat problem, as you've got a great cooler on that card and you've reported low temps.
Check your CPU temps when you play CoD, have HWMonitor running in the background, and look at TEMPIN0/1/2, not Core Temps. (If one of them is alarmingly high, or alarmingly low [90-100c+], don't worry, it's a dud sensor/misread. Should be TEMPIN1 for your CPU.

Lastly, you may want to try a fresh re-installation of the Drivers.
Go straight to nVidia's website:- http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk
Grab the 275.33 if you haven't already.

Go to Programs & Features, find nVidia Display Driver Uninstall that, run the new 275.33, go to Custom (Advanced) installation, uncheck both 3D Vision and nVidia Update, and check the little Perform Clean Installation box under that and proceed.

Reboot, see if that helps.

To measure fps in cod4 i used the ingame cg_Drawfps command, for crysis 2 i used fraps, and OCCT has a fps measurer. (Which btw showed a almost 20+ fps!) But if you think it might be the fps measurer that's dropping, it's not, i could clearly see the fps drop while playing. Just to point it out

Also, i will try to fresh install the driver, Thanks!
