MS AHCI vs AMD AHCI driver

Thread Starter
Decided to bench them both. AMD generally performs the same or better, except in "4K-64Thrd" reads.

Something I noticed when benching, is that the MS drivers had a pretty consistent MB/s throughout the tests, whereas with the AMD drivers, values tended to fluctuate more... between low and high values.

It's my OS drive, so I guess it'll be doing a lot of small file reading most of the time. Should I go back to msahci? What does OCN say?

The AMD drivers improved your sequential speed, 4K speed, and most importantly I think your access time. I see that your 4K Q64 time took a slight decrease, but I think that is only theoretical, as a desktop user will never stress the drive that much. You may never actually see the performance increase, but I would stay with the AMD.
