Rate my...£2500 pc?

Yeah...I cant believe the price either. BUT, Ive put together a build, and this is what its come to. Please IGNORE the £300+ GTX 480s, thats the one im getting but from a different website they are £200 each.

This build is gonna be used for max settings BF3, MW3, etc and for folding also.

What do we think guys, honest opinions please?

Oh yeh you might have noticed no cooling included..ill be using XSPC rasa 360 kit with enough to cover the cpu and both gtx 480s.

My main concerns are one gtx 480 is half as much as a gtx 570/80, I know they produce alot of heat and use power, but with watercooling they should be fine right?

Also I plan on getting rid of the 2600k as soon as IB is out, will this setup give me enough overclocking potential to see me through IB too without having to buy new memory, mobo etc...?

thanks all!

Do you really need the 2600k? I would get the 2500K and 8GB RAM, what about the SSD? can you get a smaller capacity one?

The 480s do produce heat, however under watercooling they are fantastic, by the way on that note are you planning on TRI SLI in the future?

EDIT: BTW what's your budget and where you shopping from? I could probably even build you one and even get a rasa kit in there aswell

I wanted the 2600k for folding and well...yeh folding!

The ssd I could get smaller drive, however i get close to the 120gb pretty quick with just essential programme and OS. Also I believe the 60gb vertex 3 is nowhere near as quick as 120gb version? Correct me if im wrong!

Tri sli would have to be thing to consider in very very distant future...Id of thought 2 gtx 480s would be able to handle pretty much anything for a while?

Not so sure about the SSD, but I would probably opt for a small capacity one, check the for sale section out for a used one. 480's in SLI would max anything you throw at it especially on 1080p, what res is that monitor?

You could get away with a smaller PSU if you don't go TRI SLI, on that note, unless you bench and do a lot of video rendering/editing etc, the RAM is pretty overkill. High speeds and tight timings are only benficial in benchmarking ie super pi and such. I would get these and that should get the price down by quite a bit and it will be more than what you need.

With the money you save from the RAMs you could put it towards a raza kit like THIS which I think is a better investement especially if you thinking of watercooling.

That monitor has really washed out colours. I bought the 21.5" model for my rents. It's great fro them and ultra thin which they like but the colours are pretty bad.

Your current PC would be more than enough to play BC3/MW3 on High, if not highest. It's a large waste of money, apart from folding BigAdv on the 2600k (not £2500 worth of points, )

1920x1080 for the monitor.

I wanted that ram because I assumed high ram speed (2133mhz) would be better for overclocking with the 2600k? Or doesnt that matter. I also didnt figure 4GB would be enough, under folding with 6gb there would always be at least 4 being used.

As for the rasa kit, its £170 for the basic kit which just does CPU, what would I need to buy ontop of that kit to enable me to WC the 480s?
