Power Supply Replace Error

Thread Starter
Hey guys I'm on my phone as my computer is whacked.
That's why I'm here.

My mom never cleaned her fans, and her power supply overheated.
I got a new one, hooked it up and I get an error that says
"CT boot device"
Boot device I thought involved the hard drive, but I'm not exactly sure.
Can someone help me with this error?

My phone won't let me upload a photo :/

That NZXT unit is intended for Pentium 3/Athlon XP era systems, and may not handle a more modern computer.

Did the PSU fry? Sounds like it may have taken out something else at the same time :/

It is an older PC.
An HP pavilion a844n.

When I look at all of the parts, nothing seems to be messed up.

You're using an antiquated power supply using the older ATX 1.3 specification (1995-2001) on a system that needs a power supply using the ATX 2.x specification (2006-present).
