P2X4 955BE vs P2X6 1035t? - Page 2

Get the 955. I upgraded my 840 to the 955 and it's great! I do have C2 stepping, so the temps could be better. But, then again my v8 cooler pad needs to be resurfaced.

Depends on the chip. Thubans generally OC slightly better and much better on the IMC side. I think he meant "OCs much easier", although that's not the case either. A 1055T is very easy to OC, you have to be an idiot not to be able to adjust your HT and NB frequencies to stock.

A 1035T will be a little harder to OC because the multiplier is 13. You'll need an ref clock of roughly 308 to get 4ghz. Problems with RAM might start to pop up because of that.

So many misconceptions that just because it's a black edition it will OC well. As far as I am aware the only difference with the BE chips is the unlocked multiplier. The Hexacore phenom's have much more going for them then just an unlocked multiplier, however considering cost they are not worth it for gaming or general use over a X4.

My 1055t did 322 on ref clock.
