New build, PSU confusion

Thread Starter
Hey all! My first post on Overclock.net!

I'm thinking of building a new rig, I currently have

Athlon II X2 240
9400GT (died like 4 days ago)
750w CIT PSU
1TB HDD
320GB HDD

This is the hardware I will be buying

Core i7 2600K
Gigabyte GA-Z68X - UD7
2x Radeon 6970s (CFX)
random cheap optical drive (DVD/CD combo, most likely )
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB storage drive
WD VelociRaptor 300GB HDD
(or I might change to OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD)

The problem is that I don't know which power supply to buy. I've checked out many PSU calculators, all of them say 900w>

I though I would be good with an 850w, but that's evidently not the case. The original PSU I was going to buy was
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...u-850hxuk.html

And the PSU I'm considering is
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p.../tp-1350m.html

What are your thoughts and opinions? Can I get away with an 850w PSU? Please note that I will be overclocking my CPU past the 4.0Ghz mark, and I'm getting a CoolerMaster HAF-X case (I'll need all fans running). With all that, I'm guessing I'll need a PSU that supplies greater than 1000w.... am I correct?

You'd be able to get away with a 650w corsair or like with that rig
