AMD Phenom II X4 955 - Page 3

I hve the Antec H20 620, works great, but since you have a nice big case like the HAF 922, you can also use one of the top of the line air coolers like the Silver Arrow or Noctua NH-D14, they fit just fine.

At first I thought you somehow hooked up a mini freezer to your cpu all ghetto style

Then I did an image search lol

(I thought sunbeam only made whitegoods)

Noctua NH-D14, Silver arrow, or the cooler master v-10 are the best aircoolers. Everyone knows that the corsair h-whatevers are a gimmick. If you want water cooling do it right and don't by that crap.

Thread Starter
Thinking of getting a H50 or H80 how much temperature difference are between those? I am currently using a Asetek 510LC and get 52C in idle.

Uuhg. Way over priced for the performance it gives.

TRUE, Ven X, Megahalems, and the above mentioned S.A. and D14 are gonna give you the best performance for the price tag.

Well first of all you are looking at about a $60-$70 difference in price tags. Not too many reviews comparing the 2 as of yet, but if you give the H80 about 1-2c better then the H70 then it would be about 5-7c better then a H50. <Rough estimates there.

I went from a h50 to a nh-c14 and I actually like the Noctua cooler better. It is actually doing a better job.

I'd be a little concerned about putting a 1.2kg cooler on my motherboard

I can attest to the D14 recommendations awesome cooling can allow you to lower the CPU voltage at load with an OC as Phenom IIs like running cool.

The 212+, watch where you buy it from. It's actually not the best deal in most cases.
