so does anyone know of a good guide to overclock the i5 2500k/i7 2600k to 4.5GHz on a Gigabyte Z68X platform?

Click the Sandy Stable club on my sig and scroll down for links to a couple overclocking guides.

Hope that helps

Got it running stable at 4.3GHz. Gonna try and get it to 4.4 then maybe 4.5 which is where it went last time. Does anyone know how to lower the latency on RAM. I have 1333 CL7 and it is in the BIOS as CL9. G.Skill says that i need to enable X.M.P but on my Z68 i only have the option of disable or profile1 which does not change anything.

Profile 1 is the XMP.
I'd do manual, though. It helps for OC. Since on higher clock, you might have to loosen the timings...

I have got it to 4.5GHz and now left the ram frequency chance but I have put it down the CAS latency to 7, the RAS CAS delay to 7 and the RAS precharge to 7. the cycle time is at 21. Sound correct?
