Intel 775 / 1155 Interchangability

Thread Starter
Does the new socket 1155 have the same FAN mount as the socket 775? I currently have an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 (Rev 1), on my E8600, but I am getting an Intel 2500K CPU and would like to reuse my cooling solution. Will the Arctic fit or not? I know the NEW Arctic Freezer Pro 7 Rev 2 is compatible with both, but i didn't know if that was because it came with separate mounts or what not. If it fits, it should be sufficient to cool the 2500k as it is a cooler chip than my current e8600.

No, the hole spacing will be different, and I think for that cooler, you need a rev. 3

I just looked and can't find the rev.1 anymore, but it looks like the rev.2 will fit both.

If your looking for a new cooler for a socket 1155 MB, I think the CM 212+ would be a good and affordable choice for you!

Crap...Sorry for the double post!
