mounting options for xspc rasa 750 rx240

Thread Starter
i'm going to most likely be getting this for my cpu only. only problem is that the rad + fans will be so thick that they will block my back exhaust fan (which i think i could mount on the outside..dunno) this will also take up the only 2 5.25 bays i have. i saw someone on youtube that said he was going to try to mount the rad in the front.

heres the case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352002

please provide any input/changes/suggestions/whatever!!

thanks so much.

It looks like it's possible to mount a radiator at the front if you remove the hard drive bays.
Also you could mount the radiator at the top of the case with the fans mounted externally.

But personally i think the best solution is to use a radiator stand such as this.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12652/ex-rad-221/Phobya_Radiator_Housing_Stand_-_Dual_2_x_120mm_Bench_Edition_38188.html

This will allow you to mount a 240mm radiator externally and keep your existing hard drive bays.

either you buy a container for those rads, or mount them on top or behind, those would be the best options IMO.

Looks like you can put it on the top also.

ohhhh i like the rad stand! those are pretty cool and would open up my options for expanding to GPU if i wanted. hmmm. i remeasured and i think that for now i might just mount the rad at the top. it wont block my rear exhaust. i was also looking at stuff like the h100 just for this case.

thanks

I would mount the rad on top out of the case and mount your fans inside the case pulling cool air in. Buy yourself some decent fans, something like some gentle typhoon 1850's and you should be fine with that setup.
