Trying To Reconfigure A Previously Working Raid 0

Thread Starter
Hello.
I recently bought RAM for my computer and tried to boot it up when it gave me the message "Missing Operating System".
I am using an Asus P7P55D LE motherboard and two Hitachi 500GB hard drives.
The hard drives were booting completely fine in Raid 0 right before I installed the RAM.

Both hard drives are present in the Bios.
When I try to reinstall Windows, it says that there is only one hard drive with 476GB on it. It isn't formatted. There is still data on it and it asks me to format before I use it. It is basically detecting my first hard drive ONLY.
First it detected the drive in the top of the bay. I then switched the SATA cables around and disconnected the bottom hard drive. The Windows 7 installer now recognizes my bottom hard drive. For some reason, it is only detecting what is being plugged into my first SATA cable.

I checked through the P7P55D LE bios and can't find any mention of RAID or RAID controllers, or any specific hard drive settings. I bought this computer from Cyberpower (mom wouldn't let me build one with her money), and I'm unable to ask them for a solution until their tech support is open on Monday morning.

Is there some kind of software I can use to easily configure a raid between these two hard drives? At this point, I don't mind if I lose my files by trying to configure a Raid 0 between these two hard drives. I just want to reinstall Windows 7 and be able to use both of my hard drives if I'm unable to reconfigure my Raid.

If there is any physical hardware needed, I should have it. (I'm not very familliar with raids)

Please, if anyone has any idea on how to configure my Raid again, or knows why the installer doesn't recognize my hard drive, please reply.
Help is greatly appreciated, thank you ;D

If it was a hardware RAID before it will need to be the same now. The Asus P7P55D LE specs says it has a RAID controller. You'll have to hit a key at boot to enter the configurator. Check the motherboards owners manual for what the key is and then just turn the computer on and mash that key til the screen comes up.

It seems as of now, that your drives have just fallen out of the RAID array. Go into your BIOS and scout for a "Hard drive configuration" or something similar. This should be set to RAID, although currently it may be set to SATA or IDE. Once you set it to RAID, your controller should automatically use the meta data to reconstruct the Array you once had.

If this is not the case, then post back here with what you see exactly hope this helped.
