Hey guys! Should i overclock?

Sup all on overclock, i'm new at oc and would like to know if i should oc my laptop. Because i would like to play LoL on high settings, instead of low with low resolution.

I was prepared to come in here and say "You're on Overclock.net, of course you should overclock."

Then I saw that it's a laptop, and I agree that it's not a good idea.

why not?

adding voltage is what makes it toasty. plus its not like intel HD graphics put out any heat anyway.

OP: google a program called GMA Booster. It will allow you to OC your intel graphics.

Even if you OCed you wouldn't see much of an increase in performance.

Your laptop doesn't have a GPU, just the integrated Intel HD 3000, which is a fairly respectable iGPU but just isn't meant for gaming.

You can overclock a laptop, just keep a close eye on temps.

Usually people underclock laptops with apps like RMClock to save battery life or if they're getting too hot.
