Chances are the BD quad wouldn't compare to the 2500K, AMD seems to be getting their performance from the number of cores, not raw core performance. I don't have a problem with this, it pushes developers of games and software to code for multiple cores, but the 2500K still seems like the option best suited to todays climate - Unless BD can pull some insane OCs (Hopefully).
Oh and OP, maybe take a look at some cards with better cooling than those biostar ones, the Gigabyte, MSI and Asus cards are usually pretty good for that.Edited by Polymerabbit - 7/17/11 at 8:42pm
