GTX 470 Low GPU Usage Problems

Hi I've recently been having some troubles with my PC. My temperatures were running a bit high for CPU and GPU (around 70-80C) so I purchased some canned air to get rid of some dust. A few days after this (thinking no result of cleaning damage) my graphics card started to give reduced FPS in LoL and SC2. I did some research and decided to upgrade from a 450W seasonic PSU to a 650W Corsair for some more power to my video card in case that was the issue. After installing the new PSU, rearranging cables for better air flow my temps are down, and there is more power available. However MSI afterburner is still maxing out at 30% GPU usage for League of Legends at 30% on low-mid range settings.

Here are my specs:

PSU: 650W Corsair Enthusiast
CPU: Intel i5 760 @ 2.8 Ghz
Mobo: MSI P55-GD65
Ram: 2x4gb GSkillz
Graphics: MSI GTX 470

Appears to be a CPU bottleneck for the dual core games, see what your CPU usage is in various games. If you have a true quad core game such as BC2 test that if you haven't for some reason.

I don't think that's the problem, I've never had any difficulty running them before. I'll let you know what the CPU usage is though.

vsync on at all? Jokingly you could underclock it to gain usage.

Reinstall the drivers, and overclock that i5, even with the stock cooler it should clock up to 3.2ish and stay below 72C, with stock voltage.

CPU usage ranged from 50-70% in SC2 max settings.

I will try that. I ust installed the latest drivers but I've been reading that other versions have been working better with the GTX 400 series for the same GPU usage issues.

BC2 is not a true Quad core game and has sub par scaling.
