1440x900 triple setup

Thread Starter
I've been tossing around the idea of buying a triple monitor setup for work, but I'm not really sure if I could bare 1440x900 if I decided to game. Should I go with this, or just stick with my single 1080p monitor?

Single monitor, it would look really stretched and distorted probably at that res. Plus you would need a second gtx 470

Oh gosh. If you've ever gamed on 1920x1080 or higher, a triple 1440x900 will look like complete garbage. When I switch from my 1440x900 monitor to my current Dell 1920x1200 monitor, I was completely stunned. It was like eating raw horse meat for your whole life, then eating a prime rib. So. Good. So anyway, someone wanted to borrow my monitor for a while, so I let them. The only monitor I had was my 1440x900. So I hook it up and load up a game. Wow. What garbage looking it was. It's not even playable. Completely takes the fun out of it. O if you had three 1440x900, it would be like three times the garbage. Don't do it.

He'd only need one 470 to run games at nearly max settings tbh in most games.

But really, it's your decision. Do you want a wider FOV (triples) or do you want your game to look better with a good monitor? You gotta make that choice for us to help you further.

@william: He already has a 1080p monitor, and uses it ATM
