Tube not full after CPU block- Air bubble?

Thread Starter
I just got my rig up and running a leak test earlier today (http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...800d-leak.html ).

I noticed that the tubing going from CPU out to my GPU block is not completely full of water, right at the out port of the CPU. I assume there is an air bubble somewhere between the CPU out and CPU in because no other tubing before/after has a noticeably large air bubble:

It isn't an air bubble in those pictures; there is just a small portion of the tube not completely full of water, so I can literally see the flow.

I am wondering if this is something that will bleed out naturally over night or if there is something I should do to fix it. The reservoir is already topped off and the fill-cap is off and I've tried the usual shaking/rocking/squeezing.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Rock the case a little so the air bubble naturally floats out. I had a lot of air bubbles and rocking the case a little while running the pump got most of the large and a lot of the small ones out.

I'll try that some more, but it isn't working as easily on this particular one as it did initially.

Another trick i have seen to help get rid of the smaller air bubbles is a drop of dish soap in your loop to increase the viscosity of the water a little bit.

I tried the dish soap idea, no immediate results. I'll let it continue to run over night and see what happens.

Hm, I tipped the case almost completely on it's side, so the motherboard would be facing upwards. A bunch of air bubbles came from the radiator. It allowed me to add a bit more water to the reservoir, but that same section of tubing still has that slight air pocket.

Squeeze the tubing where the bubble is for a split second. It should cause a sudden surge that might cause the bubble to dislodge.

You can also try tapping it with a wrench or screwdriver.

I've tried squeezing all the tubing sections.

I'm gonna sleep on it and check it in the morning and even then, let it continue while I'm at work/school.

Tap it with a screwdriver, or just let it run. It should dislodge either way.

EDIT: It is an air bubble, there is turbulence after the fitting that doesn't allow water to flow in that section.

Take a flash light and shine it from the opposite side of the tubing you're looking at. If your loop is freshly filled you'll see a bunch of tiny air bubbles flowing through it. Let it run for awhile, then turn it off for a bit to get the bubbles to form one large bubble then rock the computer to get that large bubble into the res.
