However, I am doubting that AT&T will be receiving it, given that Samsung is basically competing against the iPhone with this device, so it seems unlikely that either AT&T or Verizon, which are the two providers that currently carry the iPhone, will receive exclusivity from Samsung.

However, if T-Mobile receives it it would still be quite probable that it would support AT&T 3G bands and could be unlocked to work on AT&T. It would then still be at least a decent amount less than this version. You might even be able to convince a friend on T-Mobile to get it for you.
I'm 95% confident that Verizon, AT&T and Sprint will all 3 have the Samsung Galaxy S2 released within the next 2-3 weeks. T-Mobile may or may not, though most likely will not. A month or so after the release of the S2 in US, they will probably release the Hercules, a similar spec phone.

How can you be so sure? Though that would be good for a number of people, I don't see it having such lack of exclusivity. Everyone will probably get one at that point, lol.

Because phones with Galaxy S2 specs that are associated with specific carriers, bandwith and technologies such as Wimax and LTE have gone through the FCC and been approved.

Wait. The AT&T version that went through the FCC has NFC, 5GHz WiFi, and what AT&T tries to call 4G. It appears to be a better device than the unlocked version.

Edit: It might even have a superior Wolfson audio chip instead of the rather mediocre Yamaha present in the unlocked GSII.

"Samsung selected Wolfson Audio Hubs for multiple new Galaxy S models, including the Google Nexus S, its Wave 2 smartphone platform, one of its next generation Galaxy S2 platforms, its latest tablet PC products and its 4G LTE phone, the Galaxy S Vibrant "

o.0 4G LTE Samsung Vibrant? That hardly makes any sense when the Vibrant is offered by T-Mobile and is a GSM phone..
yeah, I think I'll wait. Question is will I have to wait a long long time or will it be out rather soon, as in this month? Also, will I have problems getting it? I asked my AT&T store near me and they said that they have never heard of it and that they don't know about new products until they arrive. LOL

Damn good phone, but price is still a bit too steep for my tastes. But hey, some might find it to be a good deal and more power to them!

It'll be out this month.

The AT&T store employees won't know about it until we all know about it.
