Planar SA2311W?

Thread Starter
I haven't really seen people talking about this monitor. This review: http://3dvision-blog.com/review-of-t...y-lcd-monitor/ shows it being pretty good, but mostly for 3D. I'm only interested in a 120hz monitor for 2D. There isn't any mention of input lag either. Does anyone have one of these and can/has tested the input lag vs a CRT? Compusa has the monitor up for $390, which is a pretty decent price.

edit: Review actually states an average of 10ms input lag. Still, I'd prefer a more accurate source if possible to confirm. I wish there were more reviews on this monitor from better sources.

I am "seriously" considering picking up two of these to replace my current displays as well. I don't do 3D at all, just 120hz 2D, same as you.

I have heard the 2233rz, which I have now, has 0ms input lag, but on some other pages its states it having 10-12ms of input lag. This is really the only thing holding me back at the moment, as I don't want to go from 0 input lag to 10-15ms. I have tried 25-30ms input lag displays and its unbearable, but I wonder if it is because of the number of frames being delayed and not the actual ms, like is there a threshold.

I have really wanted to pick up a pair of these and a colorimeter, no matter how many times I think about it, I feel that 120hz is important to me over color accuracy since i've never used an IPS panel before and cannot stand 60hz now. Glossy is no go for me. The alienware logo/bezel looks absolutely retarded, just like the acers.
