I would have considered the asus in my OP for $700nzd because I really like it aesthetically and it would match my current 22" but my budget should be around 600nzd. So something roughly 500 US would be the highest I would be wanting too spend...
I just want a bigger monitor because I want to be sucked into my games! Immersion comes before pixels too me IMO.
I had the Hanns-g 28" 1080p, then I got the Dell U3011... I was honestly embarrassed I ever used the Hanns-g.
If you want a 27" monitor I absolutely wouldn't settle for 1080p, but then again your not going to get something with 1440p for $500. I would either get the Dell U2410, which can be had for ~$450, or stick with what you have.
