My brother has a DeathAdder, and I have an MX518 (which is comparable to the G500, I assume). The MX518 feels sturdier and easier to control, but the DeathAdder feels much more responsive in the clicking department. It's really whatever you like.

Surprised that G500 has even votes. It's not a competition at all. DA outperforms G500 in every way. DA has one of the best sensors, while g500 is consider very average.

i dont know the death adder

but i've just always used thte logitech mice with that design.. everything else doesnt suit my hands apparently.

:<

i loooove this one. replaced my MX518!

I've tried alot of different mice throughout the 20 years i've been using computers.. and i've never liked anything but logitechs mice, and the microsoft intellimouse 3.0.

Also i cant play with high sense.. its just too insane for me So high dpi mice are completely pointless imo

The reason I scrapped my Logitech G5 to get a Deathadder was because the G5 hurt my thumb. When I'm gaming, I grip the mouse with my thumb all the way at the base of the mouse where it meets the mousepad, and the G5 had a sharp edge there that dug into my thumb sort of like the old nintendo directional pad when you played for a long time. The Deathadder is smooth all the way to the mousepad, so it doesn't dig into my thumb. Now I can game much more comfortably.

I own both. DeathAdder just seems to be a better mouse overall. It glides better on my hard plastic mat, the side buttons are placed better, the wheel is MUCH better than on G500. If you can, get the Black Edition, it features non glossy finish and it feels awesome compared to G500. The sensor on DA seems to be much better too.

I (shockingly) say get another DA. Overall, I think the G500 is probably the worst gaming mouse Logitech has made. That being said, it's still a great mouse...just one notch below the DA. If you had said DA versus almost any other Logitech mouse (G400, MX518, maybe even G9x) I would've said Logitech, but DA over G500 for sure.

death adder was far more comfortable, but razer drivers are terribad beyond reason. So I'm enjoying my funtional logitech drivers now lol. I just do not like the shape near as much. Still daydreaming about the intellimouse explorer 3.0 with 800 dpi lol. but g500 is not the worst mouse logitechs made for gaming, it is by far the best.
