Das Keyboard key caps quality?

Thread Starter
For financial reasons, I am more than likely purchasing a Professional Silent model with the student discount option. Can anyone hear comment on the build quality of the key caps? I know the Das's are finger print magnets, but I think I can deal with it. I just want something that won't break the bank and just lasts me for years.

I have had my Pro S for about a year and if I clean the case of fingerprints you would think I don't use it at all.

Very cool! I originally wanted to grab a Deck 82, but the shipping put the price a bit too high for me currently. I can always grab one later

I just got mine a few weeks ago (Pro S) and I clean/dust it regularly and it still looks as new as the day I got it. I also make sure to wash my hands if they are sweaty to reduce the amount of build up on the keys. I haven't really had a problem thus far.

Also, do you think the Browns would be ok for gaming? I originally wanted the Blacks as my gaming board, but I honestly just want one board for general use.

Why not buy a BL 82 ?

Same keyboard, better red backlight, minus the idiotic Deck's fonts.

They are often offered on ebay for 60 $ or so...

The descriptions I've seen on ebay are kind of vague, especially in relation to the kinds of switches they use. And I like Deck's font

Wow, very thorough. I would like a Filco Ninja, but that's quite a bit of extra dough.
