Perspective some of you lack it...
Earthquakes have been part of this game from the first trailer titled "Fault Line" which is why this is a topic.
Nerfing destructible environments is not a big deal, it's hardly even a nerf considering the game has not yet been released.
Perhaps the nerf of destruction coincides with the addition of earthquakes in multiplayer because stuff was just simply far too flimsy and easy to break, as previous posters and veterans of war have stated they don't break up and fall apart all that easy even under heavy fire fights.
Earthquakes do not render everything to dust there will still be cover (sometimes better cover) in rubble, they also stated quakes could be terrain deforming which would mean natural cover that bullets can't penetrate.
Earthquakes are not confirmed at all in multiplayer ( I hope they do it though otherwise they are feeding their competition with ideas).
