Memory Divider Issue

Thread Starter
I was trying to overclock my system:

Pentium Dual Core E2200 (200MHz x 11)
Asus P5G41C-M LX
Kingston 2x1GB DDR2 667
Inno3d 8500GT
Antec True POwer 550
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus

FSBRAM shows 3:5 at Stock (using CPU-Z) but after overclocking (10 x 233MHz) it still stays at 3:5, hence my RAM was overclocked as well (388 MHz)

How can i make the FSBRAM to 1:1. i cant find any option on the BIOS.

TIA

Even though this is technically not answering your question, let me tell you that 1:1 FSBRAM ratio does not give you any performance gain. I tried this long ago, and I did not notice any gains. If you research it, research shows that it does not gain you anything.

1:1 was only better during the DDR1 days and all memory ratios weren't upward ratios. With DDR2 things changed as we could finally have ram that was faster than the FSB of the CPU.
The reason for the 1:1 ratio was for DDR1 memory to keep the memory speed below (or equal in this case) to the FSB and not any higher, as you gained no performance. DDR2 allows you to have memory speeds faster than the FSB.

So in conclusion, don't worry about the ratio. Just the MHz.

Sir my max multiplier is 11 cant go higher, so i adjust the fsb instead. problem is memory divider is fixed at 3:5, so every time i adjust my fsb, DRAM also adjust. so i want to have a memory divider of 1:1 in order to overclock my CPU without OCing the memory.

Sorry for the grammar, hope you are getting my point. please help

CPU at stock 11 x 200Mhz with 3:5 ratio DRAM 333MHz (max rated speed of my memory).

I tried to OC at 10x233MHz with 3:5 ratio DRAM becomes 388 (way over the rated max frequency of my RAM).

CPU Multiplier is max at 11, so i have no choice but adjust FSB but my DRAM is going way up of its capacity.
