yeah, i wouldn't mind SLI 470's . really good price for it thru the B-Stock link of EVGA that you gave me. yeah i've seen the GTX 460 2 Win , the dual GTX 460 GPU . it's about $400 . ):
hmm , if i go with a single power GTX 570 , and get another one down the road if SLI is possible . it would be a good choice.

i saw that EVGA has a B-Stock GTX 570, is that any good? compared to the other GTX 570 cards?
The bstock 570 IS the evga 570 no difference what so ever in the cards I personally always get the fastest card in my budget then when i need it i get another one later. If you get 2 470s now it limits your options later.

as far as the guy running crysis 2 on extreme with one 460 he also has a cheap monitor with probablly a very low resoulition almost definetly not close to what your running on your monitor you would have to play on medium-medium high settings with no AA or AF

I enjoy my 6870, but I am waiting for the next egg open box deals to come along and snatch either a 560 ti or 6950 or something better if the price is right.

Ya the 6870 is a good card almost on par with a gtx 470 although at the prices were looking at the 6950 would be closer also the 570 is a fair bit faster than the 6870 as well

Choices...choices...choices lol

Yes, I have a GTX 460 with a factory oc of 715/1430/1800.
I didn't notice any problem or frame drops while playing.
I think the cooling is really good. These fans are really quiet. At idle (40% fan) u can not hear them. I have them set to go max speed if the temp is over 60 C and in games I usually have 62-63 C. For me, they are not loud even at 100%. The game's sound covers the fan's sound.

But, as I said, if u can afford a better card, then u should go for it.

Most everyone in this thread is contributing great information, the OP can't go wrong with any of the recommended cards considering what he/she's replacing.

I'd get the GTX560 Ti off of EVGA B-Stock with the 10% off code. Or a GTX470 or 480 from the same place.
