Possibly Parting Out Sig Rig

Thread Starter
Ok, money is just way to tight to have this much power under my hood going to waste.

I need to know just how much I can get for my sig rig, parted out!

If you're interested enough, I may just sell from here as well. Let's get to it, shall we?

i5 2500k - purchased from NewEgg 3 months ago. Temps have never reached above 70ºC and Vcore was never risen above 1.32v.

DDR3 - purchased from OCN Member 1 month ago.

HD5870 - purchased from OCN member 3 months ago. Overclocks easily to 900/1350

P67A-D3-B3 - purchased from NewEgg 3 months ago. Entry level P67 board, but overclocks well without issues.

Caviar Black 500GB - purchased from NewEgg 2 months ago.

Seagate 1.5TB - purchased from Dell.com 2 years ago.

Samsung 320GB - aquired from client's Dell 2 months ago.

Everything else is at least a year old, but in excellent working order. Please let me know what I can get for these components on OCN

i5 2500k - $190

DDR3 - $60

HD5870 - $225

P67A-D3-B3 - $90?

Caviar Black 500GB - $35

Seagate 1.5TB - $50

Samsung 320GB - $25

I personally would sell them at these prices with shipping included, but you could probably charge shipping on top of those prices without issue.

I'd give similar prices to the above. I came to a total of $580 for those same parts.

I don't think the 5870 is worth much these days; no more than a new 6870 (pretty much equally powerful). I'd say $175 max for that. $80 for that motherboard if you're lucky. I said $50 for the used RAM. Newegg frequently sells 8GB DDR3 1600 for $60, and using NEWCUSTOMER10 it's $50 (which is how much I spent on each set of my RAM), so $50 used for those sticks should be reasonable... I might be mistaken since I don't know their exact model.

I agree on the 5870, it definitely shouldn't be worth the premium that people are charging but because of something that is frowned on here people can get away with charging $225+ on them. I saw them selling for as much as $275 very recently.

All of the appraisals are very close to what I was figuring. I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't going to high or low, if I decide to sell.

Thanks for all of the appraisals and +Rep, all the way around.

I'm gonna leave the thread open for others who are willing to throw their opinions my way

Will do, thanks for the info. Although, not everyone is near enough to one to warrant the price premium
