Cutout for Heatsink

Thread Starter
Has anyone attempted to cut out/enlarge a preexisting 80mm fan hole on the side of a case in order to fit a larger heatsink, such as a Noctua DH-14 in a case that just didn't quite have the clearance?

If so, what were your thoughts/results on this?

Are you trying to fit a NH-D14 into a matx case? Please post your case. Also, you CAN do that, just get a hole drill, some fan grilles, tape, and use the templates from mnpctech.

No its some raidmax knockoff mid sized case. I think I may be ~10mm short and I think I'm getting a FRIO OCK to try to cram into it.
As far as tools I'd only really have access to a dremel 300 series
