ATI suggestions for a $150 - $200 budget video card - Page 2

I would go with an open box MSI TF3 6950 on Newegg. They are around $185. However, you have to be somewhat lucky since they come and go so quickly.

570's can be had for $250ish. But I agree in that I would go for a 6950 (Coming from a guy with 2 570's.)

i can get a GTX 570 from EVGA for $249.99 .

SLI-ing would be about $500 .

if i wanted to save myself the hassle and not do a mind boggling SLI driver hack,
i would go with ATI , i'm afraid of ATI driver problems.

can anyone show me a link of reviews of 2 x 6850s & 2 x 6870's vs 2 x 570

A thread titled $150-200 and people are talking about 570's.
What did I miss?

And what $250 570 are you getting? An open box? Those things are a junk and a risk.
Lowest prices are $300 or near, usually higher. Prices dropped a alot since the 2560MB GTX 570 released.

If you do stretch your mark, go for a 1GB 6950.
If not, a 6870 with a little OC will give your 5870 type solo performance, and putting them in CrossfireX really pulls out the whip.

i was asking about HD6870's with my budget . and asking about GTX 460's in the nvidia thread. i hopped over to ATI because i read a comment saying my 890 chipset board isn't compatible with a SLI driver hack. while doing more research through the forums, it appears that it is possible, because the SLI driver hack worked on a 890 chipset ASUS Crosshair IV board.

im looking into getting a EVGA B-Stock GTX 570 card.
90-day warranty , no accessories.
