24" questions, looking to purchase

Hey everyone at OC, I'm in the middle of deciding on what monitors to buy and I was hoping you folks can help.

I currently have a Dell S2309W and 2GB 6950 and I'm looking to add another monitor and maybe/eventually move up to an eyefinity setup. May eventually get rid of the Dell if I can get three of the same monitor down the line or something similar.

I'm looking at these monitors:
- HP ZR24W
- Benq BL2400PU
- LG W2442PA

Yeah they're all different panels, IPS, VA and TN.

The LG is something I'd be buying brand new, the HP and Benq are second hand but in terms of price, they're all close give or take $50. The LG at $200 or so after tax, the HP at $250 and the Benq inbetween.

I also considered the Asus monitors but the they'd be priced alongside the LG monitor and did not have the added bonus of being able to rotate into portrait. One thing of note, the seller for the HP did mention a stuck pixel on the corner of the screen; hopefully that's something I can remedy with a call to HP for an exchange if it gets really annoying.

I do game on both console and PC, all genres but mostly FPS and Street Fighter; also do some photo and video editing on the side as well.

I actually don't notice input lag when I do play fighting games on many different LCD monitors and TVs so I'm not sure if it'd affect me that much if I were to get the Benq or HP.

Thoughts and suggestions?

Thanks!

edit - forgot to mention that I live in Canada.

Whats your budget? I would definentaly go for an IPS panel. Once you try it, you can't go back. Everything else looks like garbage. Sometimes Dell has a refurbished sale on monitors, and sometimes they sell the u2311h for around $200, and it has a 3 year warranty. You might want to look out for that.

I'd say around $300 and yeah, I'm not going to be able to get an IPS panel with that kind of budget unless it's second hand/open box or like you said, refurbished from Dell; and I'm not entirely sure Dell actually has such deals in Canada except for their usual Dell deals.

The one thing that worries me about the U2311 is the color issues that seem to plague many users. Will keep an eye out for any Dell deals again but still open to alternatives.

Came across both the LG IPS231 and IPS236V for about $199 (in the US) and $230 here locally though.

edit - can get the IPS236V for only 209 after coupon, totally forgot that the monitor does not do portrait mode while the IPS231 can.

Mostly present in earlier revisions of the thing. And if you DO manage to get one with issues, dell warranty is pure awesome. You can easily get it replaced.
