SATA driver prior Win7 install needed? Asus M4A88TD-V Evo USB3

Hi there,

I just purchased an Asus M4A88TD-V Evo USB3 motherboard a few hours ago.

Now my question is do I need to install SATA drivers for this mobo before actually installing Windows 7?

As you know shortly before starting the installation it can happen that the message Load Driver - A required CD/DVD device driver is missing.. pops up.

I know that this is related either to the ODD itself or to something with SATA/RAID/AHCI I don´t know... confused.gif

In case of my older mobo (down in the sig) I didn´t encounter that problem.

However, since my new one is lot more complex and advanced I thought that this could occur.

I´ve been researching this for some time now and didn´t happen to find any SATA drivers or solutions - just some RAID drivers. headscratch.gif
Do I even need to worry or am I just being on a wrong track here? redface.gif

Anyways, thanks in advance for any help. biggrin.gif

Nah, it's just like every other driver: install it after Windows is done installing.

Although, the driver that comes with Windows should be good enough. So you don't even really have to worry about this after the installation.
