It can't be the airflow, I have a fan blowing the hell out of it. It is probably just a bad chip =/

And my Cpu voltage is at 1.344 according to CPU-z but it has always been a little lower than actual.

Try turning the heatsink around so the fan is on the right of the heatsink instead of the left, or even mount the fan on the right of the heatsink. Then post your results.

I've been wanting to overclock my 965 but for some reason my temp seems way too high. On loaded, my core temp was at 57c and idling at 42c. I tried everything from new thermal paste to a new cpu cooler. My current setup right now is AMD 965 BE (C3) with Asus M4A88TD mobo. Everything is at stock and ambient temp is about 75c. I don't think I have an air flow problem because I stick a small fan blowing into my comp. With or without the fan, temps remain the same.
This is the cpu cooler I just bought . There is no way that I'm getting temps higher than people running on stock fans. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
I've also included a picture of what my PC currently looks like.

Read temperatures carefully

75C is way too much, you would be dead...
There is no possible way for you to have that ambient temperature unless you live in the middle of the desert, and even so, most deserts never reach higher that 55/60C..
That cooler sucks, return it.. Use the stock one, check temperatures.. If it goes over 62C RMA the CPU since it shouldnt be going that high...

He has a Phenom II, different models, different thermal specs..
Phenoms limit is 62C before damage, and need to stay below 55C for safety on load...

Heatsink is messed up, fan should be on the other side, seems like 57c load is fine but not idle.

Is 57c supposed to be overclocked? And I did flip the fan over and got the same results. I just installed my stock again to see the temps and here it is.

If it's on load then it's fine, but temps seem bit high to me, I might lower ambient, but still, mine @ 4.5Ghz idles at 25-30 and loads is like 55max.

I have a 212+ and added a pull fan plus a 2000 rpm on the back of my case and I run them full blast all the time. My idle is 1-2 off from the ambient and load is around 55-58.
